FBO COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT

The 32,000 square foot executive terminal and hangar complex was developed as the jewel of Shell Canada's national Aerocentre program. Two parcels of land at Ottawa International Airport were identified, a land assembly negotiated, two existing buildings demolished and an existing Transport Canada airport facility converted as part of the development program.

The 2-bay hangar was designed for aircraft up to the BAe-146 Regional Jet in size and to provide line maintenance and shop support facilities. A 130,000 square foot apron was constructed for Boeing 727 aircraft. Ground side parking was provided for 100 cars.

Users have included: Air Atlantic (BAe 146), Air Ontario (Dash-8-300), Air Nova (Dash 8-100), Business Express (Saab SF-340), Petro-Canada (Falcon 50), Transport Canada (Beech-90/100), air courier and corporate aircraft, foreign diplomats and government executives from the USA and Canada.
